Cafe Culture Hits the Spot

Customer Review

Café Culture, 49 High Street, Taunton.

When little is open on the sunny streets of Taunton, you can still be sure both of a great bite to eat and really friendly service at Café Culture – just opposite Que Pasa in town. I stumbled across Phil Tucker’s excellent small independent café quite by chance and came out feeling delighted that I had discovered another of Taunton’s characters- and had a superbly relaxing time watching early-morning life (and getting a bit of writing done on the side).

With free wi-fi access, Phil has ensured he captures both the innovative and the traditional values of café culture. The atmosphere is relaxed, the décor modern and warming. Both regulars and new-comers like me soon feel at home in this great location – perfect for watching the bustle of the high street. For good days there are ample seats and tables outside – in one of the most pleasant parts of town to sit and chatter.

With some excellent deals – my freshly prepared and delicious breakfast bacon sandwich with topped-up fresh tea cost me £3.50 – and a wide range of choice, I would highly recommend Café Culture to everyone.

Café Culture is open Mon-Fri 8-4; Saturday 9-5.
